Emerald 18 Ltd. is the joint, cooperative platform of Hargem Ltd. and H.Stark & Co. Ltd, known throughout the world as two of Israel’s leading colored gemstone manufacturers and traders who have been operating since the 1960’s.
Constant innovation has always been our mission. In the last decades we have led breakthrough patented technologies in the industry, which have become a household name in all leading gemstones manufacturers across the world.
At Emerald 18, we utilize our exclusive advanced in-house patented lapidary equipment and implement a unique high resolution sorting method, our “Language of Emeralds”, that assures our customers transparency of process, precision and consistency. Ranging from micro stones all the way to large stones, we are continuously able to supply our customers the exact same product time and time again.
HISTORY
HARGEM LTD.
Hargem Ltd., led by Ehud Harel, began its colored gemstone manufacturing and trading during the 1960’s. Its founder, Ben-Zion Harel, started with a production of high-value emeralds and at the same time developed proprietary gemstone cutting equipment and technology to improve the quality of his gemstone production in cut, proportions and yield. After successfully implementing his vision to become a leading international group in Israel’s gemstone industry and together with several other Israeli gemstone manufacturers, Sarine Technologies Ltd. was established.
H. STARK & CO. LTD.
Hanoh Stark, who established H. Stark & Co. Ltd. in 1995 with Emanuel Shalev, is one of the giants that established Israel’s colored gemstone industry in the 1960ies. Hanoh Stark set out to develop cutting and polishing technologies for both rough and cut emeralds, that, with time, propelled the Israeli gemstone industry forward, placing it among the leading gemstone production centers in the world.
